We are called to assist people, to walk along side of them, to nurture them until they become fully devoted spiritually mature disciples of Jesus Christ. Now you say well pastor we will not be fully mature in Christ until the Lord Jesus returns to which I would say your exactly right which means that our responsibility is to walk along side other believers and for each of us to spur one another on to become more and more like Jesus until they go home to be with the Lord or we do.

We have no idea what God will do with us if we actually devote our lives to pouring in to the lives of others for the glory of God! Some of you in this room need to be discipled, you need to be poured into, some of you in this room need to be discipling someone else.

So I wanna talk a little bit. Now this will help us understand this passage records the story of the syrians and Samaritans the Syrians had so dominated the Samartians that things couldnt be worse.

If God can do something in this situation God can do something in your situation, there was famine futility and frustration.

Women were boiling their children for food, this is terrible, citizens were literally eating anything they could find, the Bible even refers to them eating dove waste. Seemingly all hope was gone, and boy people need hope. We can go 40 days without food, we can go 4 days without water, we can 4 minutes without oxygen, but I will tell you its hard to live 4 seconds without hope.

Then begin to try to make it spiritual you might say something like this, in order for this thing God has told us to do can work it would take God making a miracle So the people in Samaria needed help they needed it now, so those who know the good news are in an inescapable obligation to pass on the news to those who do not know it and lead others in their walk with Christ. The Bible says in verse 2 listen to this human speculation and opinion, laid right next to the divine revelation of God.

God has sent a man of God, by the way our churches and our world in its desperation, would you agree that our world is in desperate need of a move of the Holy SPirit of GOd?

God has made windows in Heaven and can pour out more if those windows are clean and willing to serve their purpose and pour out more of a blessing than you ever anticipated if you believe. Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; But happy is he who keeps the law.

Alot of our nations weve given up on em. Church with everything good happening among us I am telling you we as a church are in a dangerous position. Last year 78, people left the SBC why does this matter? When God calls you as a church to do something it should be hard to not follow through.

When things go bad you dont start looking for another church you go to the prayer closet and plead with God for more. Church God is taking us somewhere new, somewhere I hope you will follow.

We are on the path right now of making disciples. Who under heaven is this for?
